Shari Frey is a special education teacher at Sabetha Elementary. Her heart and passion is for students who learn in unique ways and has been learning/teaching in various capacities for the past 35 years. She has background as a self-contained Behavior Disorders teacher with USD #475, Junction City, Kansas as well as in an IRC with USD #321, St. Marys Grade School. She has been teaching with the special education department at Sabetha Elementary since 2008. Shari is a Kansas State University alumni graduating with a B.S. in elementary education in 1991 and a M.S. in Special Education in 1993. Shari grew up locally and graduated from Bern High School. She is married to Roy Frey, loves this community, and together they have raised 3 children. Roy and Shari have an insurance agency on main street of Sabetha-Kansas Insurance. Their daughter Jacqueline is married to Josh and lives in Overland Park. She is a Physicians Assistant but currently home raising their 3 sons. Her oldest son, Jacob is married to Alyssa and an Occupational Therapist at St. Luke's Rehabilitiation Institute in Overland Park. Brock, their youngest is a married to Haley and works at Kansas Insurance, Scoby Brothers, and the family farm while raising 2 sons. When she can, Shari enjoys reading, online scrapbooking, walking, and spending time with her extended family. |
