About Mr. Wertenberger Mr. Wertenberger brings over 23 years of teaching experience to Sabetha Elementary School, where he has been inspiring 4th graders since 2020. With a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Wichita State Univeristy and a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Tabor College. Mr. Wertenberger is dedicated to creating meaningful learning experiences for his students. Before joining the Sabetha community, Mr. Wertenberger taught in El Dorado for 9 years (4th grade and 6th grade Math) and at Everest Middle School for 7 years, bringing a wealth of classroom expertise and passion for education to his current role. Outside the Classroom Mr. Wertenberger is a proud Sabetha High School alumnus (class of 1999) and is deeply rooted in the community he now serves. He lives in Sabetha with his wife, Lizzie, and their five children: Cooper, Kyson, Forrest, Tynlee, and Khloe. When he's not in the classroom, Mr. Wertenberger loves spending quality time with his family - whether cheering on his kids at their sporting events, fishing, hunting, or simply enjoying the outdoors. His family's active schedule keeps life lively, and he treasures every moment watching his children grow and thrive. |
