Mr. Duryea grew up in Corning and attended Centralia High School. After graduating high school, He attended Kansas State University and received a BS in Elementary Education. Mr. Duryea has been teaching for 22 years, mostly Kindergarten :). He currently resides in Seneca and has four children: Briena, Alec, Gavin and Taegan. He is married to his lovely wife of 29 years, Amy Duryea, who is a Pharmacy Technician at the Medical Arts Pharmacy in Seneca. Mr. Duryea has coached all sports, but his passion is volleyball. He enjoys working outside and especially spending time with his two grandkids, Beau and Lillian. As for the teaching aspect - Mr. Duryea loves connecting with students who have struggles and challenges at school or even at home. It is important for him to reach those kids who can easily fall between the cracks of education and allow them to be successful students. |
