Enrollment Information

Welcome Back to School for 2024-2025!  We can't wait to have your kids back in our buildings!

In-person enrollment will take place on Thursday, August 1st for Sabetha and Axtell schools from 9:00 am - 6:00 pm in the individual buildings. Again this year we are offering the opportunity for our families to pay fees and enroll online, eliminating the need to go to the building(s) to enroll in-person.   If you prefer to come into the building to pay by check or cash you may complete the enrollment forms online and come the building during enrollment to pay your fees.  If you need assistance completing the online enrollment forms, computers will be available in each of the buildings and assistance will be available during enrollment.

Directions for Online Enrollment

STEP 1 (Required):  Determine if you are a NEW or Returning Student

New Student Enrollment:  (Only for students that have never attended one of our schools. If your child has attended one of our schools (Axtell, Sabetha or Wetmore), preschool, received speech services, etc.  use the returning student process!)

1.  New students click on this pre-registration link:   https://usd113.powerschool.com/public/formbuilder/form.html?formid=1671901
2.  Once you have completed the pre-registration form you will receive an email with your Access ID to create a PowerSchool Parent Account. (This can take up to 24 hours.  If you do not receive the email reach out to your attendance center for assistance.)

3.  Go to this website https://usd113.powerschool.com/public/home.html  to create your account.  Once you are logged in click on the Forms link on the bottom left-hand side of the page and begin completing all of the forms. You are not officially enrolled until all forms are completed and approved.

4. GO TO STEP 2 -  Complete Fee Payment (See below)

Returning Student Enrollment:  (Returning students include any student that has previously attended Axtell, Wetmore, or Sabetha schools including preschool and speech services.)

1.  Returning students will enroll through the PowerSchool Parent Portal located at this link: https://usd113.powerschool.com/public/home.html
Login into the portal using your current credentials.  You may click on the Forgot Username or Password link if you do not remember your login information.  If you do not have a PowerSchool Parent access account, you should receive an email with your Access ID and Password. If you do not receive that email, please contact your school office.

2.  Once you are logged into the PowerSchool Parent Portal click on the FORMS link on the left-hand side of the screen. Please complete all forms for each child.

3.  GO TO STEP 2:  Complete Fee Payment

STEP 2 (Required):  Complete Fee Payment -  NEW & RETURNING STUDENTS

1.   Complete Fee Payment.  You can pay fees either online through e-Funds for schools or during enrollment on August 1st at Sabetha Elementary, Middle or High Schools and  Axtell Public Schools  from 9:00 am - 6:00 pm.

Online Fee Payment will be available when we open the enrollment forms.  If you would like to pay online CLICK HERE to learn more about the fees associated with online payment.    Utilizing the online payment option and online enrollment forms will eliminate the need for parents to visit the building during the scheduled enrollment time unless they need to turn in other paperwork.   If a parent/guardian prefers to pay by check or cash at the building or if they need help completing the online enrollment forms, we will have in-person enrollment on August 1st at both  Sabetha and Axtell schools.  You will need to go to each building where you have a child attending to pay fees and complete enrollment if you have not completed this process online.  If you have any questions, please contact the school office.

STEP 3 (Recommended): Electronic Application for Free and Reduced Priced Meals for the USDA’s National School Lunch & School Breakfast Programs.

Again this year all students will need to pay full price for lunches unless they qualify for Free or Reduced priced meals through this online application from the USDA's National School Lunch and School Breakfast Program.

1.  Complete this online application to determine your child qualifies for Free or Reduced priced meals.   https://schoolmealsapp.ksde.org/Home/welcome/D0113
(Only one application per family is required.)

2.  Once the application has been received and processed, you will receive a determination letter that will let you know if your child qualifies for free or reduced-priced meals.  If you have any questions, please reach out to Ashley Niehues, USD 113 Food Service Director at niehuesa@usd113.org.
