Duet Acting:
Two actors will perform a prescripted piece from memory with two chairs and table for props. |
Serious Solo Acting:
An actor will perform a dramatic prescripted piece from memory. Will have a single chair as a prop.

Humorous Solo Acting:
An actor will perform a humorous prescripted piece from memory. Will have a chair as a prop.

Reading of Prose:
Actor will read from a previously selected piece. Will require slight memorization and movement.

Reading of Poetry:
Actor will read from a previously selected poetry piece. Will require slight memorization and movement.

Original Oration:
Speaker will present a memorized speech. Must be persuasive and original.

Improvised Duet Acting:
Two actors will draw characters, situations, and settings to create an improvised skit. Will be given 30 minutes of prep time as well as two chairs and a table as props.

Informative Speaking:
Speaker will present an original speech to inform judges of their choice of topic. Speech should be original and memorized.

Extemporaneous Speaking:
Speaker will draw a topic to research and write a speech about. 30 minutes of prep will be given and notes are allowed.

Impromptu Speaking:
Speaker will draw a topic to research and write a speech about. Up to 5 minutes of prep will be given and no notes are allowed.
